This recipe is simple to make but tricky to cook, I still haven’t figured out a way to cook these in the oven. The best way to cook them is in a fire, either indoors or outdoors. Cooking in a fire just adds an amazing smokey and wood taste to the breadsticks that you just can’t get any other way.

These are Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free, Nut Free and have no sugar, perfect for anyone with allergies or looking to eat healthier.

Instructions:

They are easy to make just put all ingredients in a stainless steel bowl and combine into a dough ball, roll into sticks and then wrap in aluminium foil and place in the fire to cook. You will have to check them to see when they are ready to eat.

When cooked they are crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.

You don’t need anything to eat them with, they come out of the fire with a nice smoky flavour combined with the herbs that are in the bread sticks.

Reheating:

To reheat up the next day in an air frier 3 minutes at 180°C /356°F and then 3 minutes at 200°C/392°F.

If you are looking for something else that easier to make try my Cassava Wrap Recipe it only takes 5 minutes to make and 5 minutes to cook in a frying pan with no oil.

Let’s get cooking the breadsticks….

The photo below is of all the flours, herbs and spices combined in a bowl.

Once all the ingredients are in the bowl combine into a ball like the picture below.

Divid the big ball into 4 small balls.

Roll each ball into a bread stick, with the thickness about half an inch or just bigger than a finger. The length can be as long as you like.

Cook in a fire, it can be an indoor or outdoor fire, the exposure to the hot coals is what cooks the breadsticks on the outside and keeps them soft on the inside.
