After loading up the car, we departed from our Soldiers Point accommodation to begin our road trip to Queensland. Before heading off, we explored Port Stephens–Great Lakes Marine Park, enjoying the perfect sunny morning. We then made a stop at Ridgeway Avenue, Soldiers Point, to admire the Sunrise Beach located on the opposite side of the marina.
Now next stop was at “George Reserve On Lead Dog Exercise Area” on Soldiers Point Road, on the park side you have to reverse your car into the car park spot, I parked on the other side of the road because I am not confident in reverse parking and our car is a big suv. There’s a playground and toilet right next to the beach, so kids can play on the playground and parents have a nice view of the beach to look at.
