After leaving Mosman Beauty Point in Sydney we checked out Grotto Point Lighthouse and Sydney Harbour National Park Fairfax loop walk on our roadtrip up to Queensland (27th Septmebr to 9th October 2024) and on our way to our next accomodation stop. Our next stop was North Curl Curl at Tea Tree Lookout and Cole’s Lookout which is just outside of Sydney heading up north along the coast.

Tea Tree Lookout
Nestled along the rugged coastline, Tea Tree Lookout is a tranquil spot surrounded by native vegetation. Its name comes from the
that thrive in the area, adding a touch of charm to this scenic location. The lookout provides sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and the North Curl Curl coastline. On a clear day, you might even spot whales during their migration season or pods of dolphins playing in the waves.

Tea Tree Lookout is located on Robertson Road/ Molong Street, there is a car park on the right hand side and then you just walk up to the end of court to the lookout.

Coles Lookout
Located near the iconic North Curl Curl Beach, Coles Lookout offers a different perspective of the coastline. On the way back from Tea Tree Lookout there is a track on the left that we walked down to Cole’s Lookout, just before the steel mesh boardwalk in the picture below its the one on the second last row from the bottom and its on the right hand side there’s a rock platform, just don’t get too close to the edge of the cliff as it drops off and is unstable.

How do I get to North Curl Curl Rock Pool?
The pool can be reached from the beachfront during low tide or via the coastal walk during high tide. It’s not ideal for lap swimming due to a rock formation in the center.
