We departed from our accommodation at Saltwater Apartments in Lake Cathie and headed to Tacking Point Lighthouse in Port Macquarie. Our next stop was Burley Point which was just 1 minute drive down the road from the rainforest walk. We saw whales breaching and flapping there fins so we watched them for a bit and then kept driving to our next sight seeing spot. There were two boats that were too close to the whales and blocking there path around the sandbar. Don’t forget your binocluars, camera or moblie phone camera to take photos and videos its an amazing experience to see them from land breaching and moving along the coast.
