I loved visiting the Blue Mountains on our 2 week road trip in November 2023. The waterfalls are amazing especially if it has rained recently, and the three sisters were magnificent to see at sunrise and sunset where the sunlight lights up the sisters, we only got to experience a tiny little bit of the Blue Mountains and I would love to go back and see more.
These are the places we stopped at on our way up, we stayed at a couple of locations overnight, because there was too much to see and we didn’t want to rush and miss out on seeing places.
We spent the first day of our road trip driving for six hours, making hourly stops to stretch and rotate drivers, before pausing overnight in Mallacoota.

Accessible via Nelson Drive, adjacent areas are ideal for experienced surfers who may explore Tip Beach when the wind direction is WNW-NE (West-North-West to North-East).
Exercise caution at all surf spots in Mallacoota, as they are susceptible to both small and large rips. If uncertain, seek advice from others or refrain from entering the water.
Windsurfing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Betka Beach is a nesting site for Hooded Plovers, with protected zones during breeding season. For bush bird sightings, stroll along the Betka River Loop Track to see Golden Whistlers, Grey Fantails, and Eastern Yellow Robins. Explore the Heathland Walk near Davis Creek to find New Holland and Tawny-crowned Honeyeaters, Southern Emu-wrens, and Little Wattlebirds. The Narrows Walking Track offers sightings of Honeyeaters, Eastern Yellow Robins, and Scrubwrens, along with Superb Lyrebirds, Firetails, and Azure Kingfishers along the water’s edge.
